Extended embryo culture (Blast): superior live birth rates (LBR) with small increased risk of adverse obstetrical outcomes as compared to cleavage stage transfers

      Deciding the developmental stage to transfer embryos is complex. Class I data show higher implantation rates with blast transfer, but delivery data show increased low birth weight (LBW) risk. This study combines these endpoints and assesses outcomes from the clinical vantage point where decisions are made – on day 3 (D3) when embryos are available for transfer or to place into extended culture.
